Gineco.eu
"Gineco.ro” is a medical specialty publication, dedicated to health professionals only, with national coverage that specifically addresses to gynecologists and specialists in the following medical fields: maternal/fetal medicine, gynecologic-urology, gynecologic-oncology, infertility, neonatology, endocrinology-gynecology, genetics, molecular biology and gynecologic ultrasonography.
The quarterly publication was launched in 2005, has 68 pages and a circulation of 2,000 copies for each edition. The editorial concept and approach is oriented to the actual themes and issues for Gynecology specialists.
Since 2008 – Volume 3 – “Gineco.ro” medical journal is indexed by Thomson Reuters: Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch®) Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, and Elsevier Bibliographic Database: Scopus. “Gineco.ro” is one of the four Romanian medical journals and one of the several specialized journals that enjoy international recognition and indexing.
Starting from 2011 the Journal is indexed in Web of Science (Science Citation IndexExpanded and Journal Citation Report) Database of Thomson Reuters, HAVING IF = 0.053 year. Elsevier Bibliographic Database: SCOPUS.
Starting with the February 2009 edition, the magazine is published also in English.
The magazine is accredited by the Physicians College from Romania, subscribers receiving 5 points of Continuing Medical Education.

The pathology of polycystic ovarian disease is characterized by oligo-anovulation, hyperandrogenism and polycystic ovaries. Women may express, among other, infertility, oligomenorrhoea or amenorrhea, hirsutism, acne, and various pathogenic increased risks miocardic infarction, coronary disease, metabolic consequences/diabetes mellitus, obstructive apnea during the sleep, endometrial, breast or ovarian neoplasia, depression and anxiety, pregnancy-induced hypertension, premature birth and increased perinatal mortality.
